The lesson plans address 4 standards: (1) Inclination towards learning (learning-style preference). (2) Information structured and presented in a way that can be easily grasped (multi-modal curriculum), using verbal and nonverbal repetitive demonstration through drills, video, and diagrams to increase learning retention. (3) Sequential (step-by-step) instruction through practice, to increase knowledge while developing athletic skills. (4) Rewards are used to encourage sportsmanship characteristics regardless of win or loss... going beyond the sport; focusing on science and math learning, Bruner (1960).
The workshops are scientifically based considering easy, medial and advance, according to age, grade, perceived knowledge and physical ability; accommodating both active and reflective learning styles to increase balanced learning. Our workshop activities prohibit discrimination of race, religion, origin and disability through structured focused team play interaction.
